Logismate was established in 1998 with the aim to provide third party logistics services and to promote the use of the supply chain management technique. The company is a joint business venture between Koshida Corporation, a trading company that mainly handles automobile equipments, semiconductors, and electronic goods and devices manufactured by Mitsubishi Electric Corp., and Japan Logistics Systems Corp. (Logitem), which maintains a strong presence in the Japanese logistics industry. In addition to providing a high-class domestic and international freight forwarding and handling service, Logismate also provides an advanced online inventory management service which utilizes a barcode system.
